THE TRAINING CONTENT

Training with us to become an Equine Assisted Coach will change you! These are the topics we delve into:

The horse as coach

How does a horse react to us, what signals and expressions can we include in a coaching session? Natural behavior in relation to our coaching. The horse’s needs and responsibility for maintaining the horse’s happiness, motivation and health as our partner in coaching.

Personal development

In coaching, we work in the area of personality development. This requires knowledge of the basics of  psychology, neurobiology, communication and humanistic psychology. This enables us to tackle the goal of coaching – helping people to help themselves as future coaches.

AHAA method

The basis of our coaching approach is the AHAA method. It guarantees well-structured coaching that gives the client the security they need to confidently commit to their own process in the knowledge that they are in the qualified hands of a coach who is aware of their responsibility.

Subject areas

The AHAA method involves working with four basic topics that cover the area of coaching in a meaningful and sustainable way. Detailed knowledge about these topics is developed in depth, both in theory and in practice. Working with the AHAA method also offers the opportunity to use coaching in the areas of equestrian sport, horse training, riding training and stable management.

Delimitation

The demands on a coach are great these days, people are increasingly suffering from stress and often going to a coach is also a cry for help because (almost) nothing works anymore. Knowing exactly where the limits of coaching lie, but also where your own limits lie, knowing interfaces with specialists from the fields of medicine or psychology and building up a network is a major concern for us as trainers and is a major topic of discussion.

The own offer

Those who wish to pursue this path after the training can apply their knowledge of marketing and setting up a coaching service. We share our extensive knowledge of working in this industry and support our participants in finding their own way to their own clients. It makes sense to take a closer look at the contents of your own backpack and supplement the skills you bring with you with the method of horse-assisted coaching.

Strengthen your personality

In our training you will learn to rediscover yourself – perhaps uncover one or two blind spots, but above all you will discover strengths in yourself that you didn’t know you had before! You will be able to apply what you learn directly to yourself and be your own loyal friend in problem situations.

Deepening relationships

Dealing with all these topics changes your perspective on many things. Everything you learn is actively used in everyday life with our customers and clients and is prepared in such a way that it is adaptable and applicable for you, whether in the family, at work, in the stable or with your horse.

Practical application

Theory is one thing – we offer an online platform and short on-site sessions. Because we know that good coaches are created with a lot of practical application. Trying things out, exchanging ideas, becoming confident and growing more and more into the role of coach, that is the path to becoming a cert. Horse Assisted Coach.

We have designed this training to help you achieve the following goals:

Gain insights

You will learn everything you need to know about horse-assisted coaching and will be provided with a tried and tested method that will enable you to venture into coaching with confidence.

Integration

What you learn with us, you integrate with what you already bring with you. This combines your knowledge with your own experience and makes you unique in the way you combine everything together.

Personal growth

The training develops your personality. You learn to rediscover yourself – you become aware of your strengths and you can look at blind spots that you discover with loving guidance. Always with the horse at your side as your coach.

Expand horse competence

You will expand your horse competence and gain a deeper understanding of how to deal with horses. This knowledge will help you to integrate new aspects into your relationship with horses.

Frequently asked questions

Is the degree recognized?

Yes, with the Swiss Association of Equine Assisted Coaching. Upon successful certification, all graduates receive a certificate from AHAA-Manufaktur and a certificate from the Swiss Association of Equine Assisted Coaching.

The training is also recognized as Basic Training Coaching I.

Do I need my own horse for this?

No. Basically, any horse is suitable as a coach, as long as it is socialized and does not show any rough behavior with people. Experience has shown that owners are very willing to lend their horses for this work, as it develops the horse’s personality.

Is the horse my guru?

We leave it open as to what the horse is for you. For us, it is an opportunity to rediscover yourself and to develop a new, usually unimagined quality of relationship with yourself, but also with the horse. During the training you will learn tangible theory and practical application with a well-founded and tried and tested method. We leave out the magic wand and the crystal ball, because it is very important to us to make the great effectiveness of this method as an aid to self-help better known, so that it can be used by more and more people as a sustainable alternative method.

Who is the training suitable for?

The training is suitable for anyone who enjoys people and horses. Anyone who would like to use this joy to develop MORE in others, to bring people forward, to forge strong teams, to grow themselves, to discover unexpected abilities of the horse, should do this training.

Can I earn money as a PUC?

Yes, our training does not create illusions or blind dreamers. We impart in-depth coaching knowledge. Our graduates learn the tools of the trade and have often practiced them in practice at the end of their training. They know what they are doing. Like any other business, this activity must be carefully planned and built up. This takes time. In our training courses, we support our graduates in developing the idea of their own offer in a sustainable way and working on it continuously.

Isn't that bad for the horses?

Anyone who uses a horse for coaching has a great responsibility and must always put the animal’s welfare first. We convey our basic values for the use of horses, which we ourselves also live by.

This training is for you if you:

  • Have a good knowledge of horses and also enjoy working with people
  • You want to experience new possibilities with your horse, strengthen and deepen the relationship
  • are a trainer, riding instructor, riding teacher, coach or therapist and are keen to integrate a new method into your work
  • are a riding stable owner or boarding stable operator and would like to develop more understanding and answers to your customers’ problems
  • are a family person and would like to get ideas for integrating horses into everyday family life.
  • want to acquire solid knowledge, are prepared to learn new things and to engage in practical work with the subject in order to learn the fundamentals of the craft of “coaching”.
